Can a director of a company files caveats in the National Company Law Tribunal if he anticipate some proceeding against the Company?

YES. A person can file CAVEAT with the National Company Law Tribunal with a copy also served to the expected Applicant/ Petitioner in the prescribed form NCLT 3C, with the prescribed details including details of service on the other side, so that the application is taken up before the Appeal/ Petition/ Interim Application is taken up by the Tribunal. The Caveat shall remain valid for a period of 90 days from the date of its filing.
